1. Scope
Plogger is a poker hand logging and replay app operated under the Onlybrain domain. This policy applies to the Plogger app for iOS and Android, the public pages at plogger.onlybrain.com, and the cloud features used for accounts, friends, encrypted backup, and encrypted hand sharing.
The app is designed as a local-first poker tool. You can use core logging and replay features without uploading raw hand history to the cloud.
2. Information We Collect
| Category | Examples | When collected |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Email address, display name, Cognito user ID, account status, subscription plan. | When you register, log in, or use account/friend/cloud features. |
| Authentication data | Login tokens issued by AWS Cognito. Passwords are handled by Cognito and are not stored by Plogger in plain text. | When you register or log in. |
| Poker session and hand data | Game type, blinds, players, stack sizes, Hero cards, board cards, actions, bets, folds, timestamps, notes, and replay frames. | When you create sessions, log hands, save hands, replay hands, upload backups, or share hands. |
| Location information | Manual place name, and optional latitude, longitude, accuracy, and captured time. | Only when you enter a place name or tap Use current in Settings. |
| Friend and sharing information | Friend requests, accepted friend relationships, shared hand metadata, recipient IDs, share link metadata, and encrypted hand keys for authorized recipients. | When you use friends or app-to-app sharing. |
| Device and app information | Device ID generated by the app, platform, app version, basic request logs, timestamps, and error information. | When you use cloud features or the backend API. |
3. How We Use Information
- To save and replay poker sessions and hands on your device.
- To let you register, log in, and connect with friends.
- To provide encrypted backup, sync, and app-to-app hand sharing.
- To show saved sessions by game, time, and optional place name.
- To troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure.
- To respond to support, privacy, account deletion, or data deletion requests.
We do not use Plogger hand history for advertising. We do not sell personal information. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the app.
4. Local Storage on Your Device
Plogger stores saved sessions and hands in a local SQLite database on your device. Local data is used for replay and storage management. If you never upload, share, or sync a hand, that hand remains local to your device.
You can delete local sessions or hands in Settings > Manage Storage. Deleting the app may also remove local app data, depending on your device and operating system.
5. Cloud Backup and Sharing
Cloud features use AWS services including Cognito, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, and Route 53. When a hand is uploaded or shared through cloud features, the mobile app encrypts the hand package before it leaves your device.
The backend stores encrypted hand payloads and metadata such as hand ID, session ID, user ID, timestamps, payload size, payload hash, S3 object key, share token hash, recipient ID, and access status. The backend is not designed to store raw decrypted hand history.
6. Location
Plogger asks for device location only if you choose to save the current location for a poker session. If you grant permission and tap Use current, the app saves latitude, longitude, accuracy, and capture time with that session. You can also manually type a place name, such as Bellagio, Home game, or Local room.
You can deny or revoke location permission in iOS or Android settings. The app can still be used without device location permission.
7. iOS and Android Notes
iOS
On iOS, Plogger may use Apple system features such as location permission prompts, universal links, local app storage, and the native share sheet. App Store privacy information should match the data practices described in this policy.
Android
On Android, Plogger may use Android permission prompts, app links, local app storage, and the native share sheet. Google Play Data Safety disclosures should match the data practices described in this policy.
8. Your Choices
- You can use local hand logging without creating an account.
- You can choose not to grant location permission.
- You can manually type a place name instead of saving device coordinates.
- You can delete local saved sessions and hands in Manage Storage.
- You can choose whether to upload, sync, or share a hand.
- You can sign out of your account in Settings.
9. Retention and Deletion
Local hands and sessions remain on your device until you delete them, delete the app, or clear app data. Cloud account records, friend records, shared hand metadata, and encrypted cloud payloads are retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
You can delete your Plogger cloud account inside Settings > Account & Friends > Delete account. You can also request deletion by emailing privacy@onlybrain.com from the email address associated with your account. Include "Plogger account deletion request" in the subject. We may ask you to verify account ownership before deleting cloud account data.
Account deletion does not automatically delete local data stored on a device that is no longer connected to the account, or copies of shared hands already imported by another user.
10. Security
Plogger uses HTTPS for cloud API and website communication. Hand payloads uploaded or shared through cloud features are encrypted by the app before upload. AWS stores the encrypted payloads and metadata needed to provide access and replay.
No security method is perfect. Please protect your device, use a strong password, and avoid sharing links with people who should not access a hand.
11. Third-Party Services
Plogger may rely on these service providers or platform services:
- AWS for authentication, backend APIs, cloud storage, logs, and static hosting.
- Apple and Google for app distribution, operating system permissions, and platform services.
- Apps you choose in the native share sheet, such as Messages, email, or WhatsApp.
When you share through another app, that app's privacy policy and terms apply to the message or link you send.
12. Children
Plogger is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Plogger changes. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and publish the updated policy at this URL.
